I earned my Master of Science in Clinical Mental Health Counseling from Mercer University and my bachelor’s degree in Psychology and Sociology from the University of Tennessee, Knoxville. I offer both in-person and virtual therapy. My hope is to create a space where clients can show up as they are, feel genuinely heard, and work together toward a life that feels more manageable, meaningful, and true to who they are.
My clinical experience includes working with individuals experiencing anxiety, depression, chronic illness and significant health changes, emotional regulation difficulties, personality disorders, and thought disorders, including schizophrenia and bipolar disorder. I particularly enjoy working with clients who feel stuck in patterns of worry, rumination, or distressing thoughts and helping them develop new ways of understanding and responding to their experiences.

When anxiety, depression, difficult emotions, or major life changes begin to affect your day-to-day life, it can be challenging to know what’s going on or where to begin. In our work together, you’ll have space to be open and honest while also being challenged toward self-reflection and understanding. I believe that what you’re feeling is real and valid, and that there is value in taking the time to understand where those feelings come from. I’m straightforward with my clients and will challenge you when needed, while also making sure you feel comfortable enough to communicate openly. My goal is for you to feel confident in your skills and in your ability to communicate what you need.
I work with children, adults, and families, and I believe therapy works best when it is tailored to the individual. My style is warm, direct, and reflective. I take an eclectic approach, drawing from evidence-based approaches such as Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT), Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT), and Narrative Therapy. I consider each client’s needs, strengths, experiences, and goals when determining what approach will be most helpful. I also incorporate creativity when it can help clients connect, express themselves, and make meaningful progress.
For children, I offer play-based therapy tailored to their developmental and emotional needs. Play can give children a natural way to communicate experiences and emotions that may be difficult to put into words. I also value working collaboratively with families to build greater understanding and support both in and outside of the therapy room.
